tackiest thing EVAR!
This postcard is from a friend of a friend. She had been in the military and our mutual friend thought that she might have some advice for my resignation process. We got together once in April or May. When i got called up to Iraq, I emailed her asking her for help/letting her know, but never got a response - though i did get a couple of 'what's up with me this month' group emails from her. In these random emails she talks about how she is doing with her new career in real estate. then i got this card (transcribed below) and packet of cider from her yesterday:
Dear Brady,
Hope you're still enjoying your new home from here in Seattle and not from Iraq. It's hard to believe it's already September and dark, cold, and rainy. Luckily the autumn brings other pleasures, such as mugs of steaming beverages. So I've included some cider for you to enjoy.
