Till the Break of Dawn

I have really been enjoying the past two days. Lots of poker and lots of good times, staying up past 5AM. On Sunday Akshai and I hosted our first poker night. We didn't yet have the 500 chips and carrying case that we bought online, but we knew some people with chips. At one point while playing, I had more than triple than what I started with, but that dwindled to double. Then we started up a no-limit, no-rebuys tournament with about a dozen people at two different tables. I was at a table with a guy I played with last week, who along with someone else robbed Akshai and I of $20 dollars each really fast. So I didn't anticipate going very far. But as I won against two people going all-in, two tables became one, and I won going all-in once, I arrived at third place.
On Monday, we received the poker chip set in the mail and broke it in by playing a bunch of poker. Akshai and I also played a bunch of Halo for the XBox. We couldn't get it online for some reason that night.

It's hard to explain exactly how fun and enjoyable it's all been and how happy and wonderful it all makes me feel, but it is the next best thing to beholding the beauty in northern Washington state where my mom lives and where I'm going next week before classes start back up again.

I really look forward to hanging out with Jessica on a regular basis again. I've missed her. Maybe I'll get to see her sometime this weekend. She's been in Europe and I heard she made lots of friends with the people from ASU that went too.

With all that fun stuff going on, I don't find a need to address the me & Michelle stuff right now, if at all. You could read one of her recent posts about us if you'd like to know her current perspective on that. I am also suprisingly busy at work, constantly helping to move computers to & from different labs and hook them up.
