Bars and Banter
Me: So it's that time of season...
Me: Have you caught Harry Potter fever?
Jeanne: nope
Me: "No, I'm working" became a common phrase as everyone and their mom asked me if I was seeing the midnight showing
Jeanne: haha, I've never read the books
Me: I didn't think so
Jeanne: so I just get dragged to the movie periodically
Jeanne: so it doesn't really matter to me
Me: Could I persuade you to a dragging? ;-)
Jeanne: Probably

Jeanne: is that okay?
Me: Yeah that works :-)
Me: Having been preoccupied by accounting homework and an addicting PC game, my weekend was about as planned as initial FEMA hurricane efforts
As I was making plans with a friend tonight, I realized how open my Saturday is. Last night, my weekend got off to a really good start though. I met up with Kassi at a bar for some karaoke after work. With the help of a tip to the karaoke DJ, I managed to fast track the song I requested. Ever since I heard it a few times on the radio a while back, I got into the mindset that I could so sing it. So I did it and it was well received, despite not being able to hear my own voice much. Being there was the perfect post-work activity. When it was time to leave, I inadvertanly managed to save Kassi from some guy at the bar that was being "forward" with her that night. I drove her home since she was pretty drunk. Once we got there, caught each other up on a lot of stuff as well as just talking about random stuff. I'm really glad we got to and it was worth missing a likely huge frat type party that night.
