and as bad as I am, I'm as good as you are as bad as I am!!!!! (that was the rest of the subject. it didn't fit)
So here's a brief overview of stuff.
Fri was another good dinner with the roses. Just me and Jen and her parents this time. Logan and Lena were rehearsing their dance for their wedding. It was slightly quieter without all three rose woman, but still no lack of conversation ;)
Afterward we went to swing, where we finally learned some more moves. The class had been kinda slowing lately doing a lot of review. But this past class was really good. We then proceeded straight to dani's place in Manassas for a game night. It was more of a girl's night with Brad, but it was still fun. Spoons and Clue were enjoyed by all.
Sat was a lovely day. After a short delay in the morning, we all caravaned out to get gas for under $3 at costco. Then the caravan proceeded to the Rose household to get our caravan washed with the power washer of doom. Homemade bbq pizza was the dinner of choice that evening and the classic movie Labrynth was watched. And a quiet evening ensued.
Sunday was an absolute blast. Lena, Kayla, Dani, Jen and I all went to the Maryland Renaissance Festival. It was Lena and Dani's first time, but not the rest of us. Jen, Kayla, and I all dressed up in garb for a full day at the fair. Kayla had her hand made princess dress and Jen was in a long flowing gypsy'ish skirt with leather boots and a leather lattice type overlay thingie. We ate all the usual stuff one eats at the fair. Frozen chocolate covered bananas on a stick, Cheesecake on a stick, Turkey Legs, Mead, Bee Stings(half mead half hard cider), Pretzels and other various things on sticks. We saw Hack and Slash twice. They are by far two of the funniest men I have ever seen. Their second show was their Ale Extravaganza! that's where the phrases 'God Save the Keg' and 'Beer Nuts for the Masses!' come from. They are absolutely hilarious and they have whips, swords, and ale too! We walked around a lot and saw all sorts of nice medieval crafts and clothing. Jen got her hair done the way she wanted this time (half up and half down). It looks really nice (it's still in, although not for much longer). Then we went home and were all pretty beat.
When we got home, jen, kayla, and I went to quiznos for dinner and then to Wal-Mart. Jen had decided to make a medieval dress for our next visit to the fair. So between sunday night and monday afternoon she purchased all the fabric she will need to get the dress made. Hopefully she will have it ready for PARF. PARF is the PA Renaissance Faire. Plans are tentative for the 15 and 16th of Oct right now for all who are interested. From the looks of it, it seems to be a lot bigger than the MD faire. My friends who are even bigger veterans of faires than me, say it is incredible and blows MD away. Hopefully they will be coming with us. All are invited. This means you - Kayla, Dani, Laurie, Matt, Aaron, Sara, Lauren, Skye, The Will, Lena, and yes Logan too!
Monday was relaxing as was today. I'm finally sitting down and playing Battle for Middle Earth. I've defeated the battle at Helms Deep and Osgiliath. I am now saved half way through the battle at Minas Tirith. They really did a good job with a lot of aspects of this game. I can't wait for the sequel to come out with free form base building, more units, and more teams. Should be a lot of fun.
I think that's all for now. We just had dinner with the ever lovely Miss Julie Nagel at Olive Garden. I hope everything works out for the best for her. She seems to be doing well with her new job. Speaking of which, I should be hearing about where I will be reporting in the next couple of days. I still don't know anything about it. Although I did ask if there was any paperwork I needed prior to my start, I was told no. So here's to waiting for them to tell me where to go and when to be there. I start on Monday! WooT!
And here is a parting song from my good friends Hack and Slash:
Do, the stuff that buys my beer
Re, the guy who pours my beer. Thanks Ray!
Mi, the guy who drinks my beer.
Fa, a long long way to the privy.
So, I think I'll have a beer.
La, I Think I'll have a beer.
Ti, no thanks I'll have a beer,
and that brings us back to Do Do Do Do Do.
Good Night all, Sleep Well
