baby's position

At my last doctor's appointment they said the baby is head down. However, I really think baby's back is on my right side with feet/hands on my left. Are there any suggestions for turning the baby into the more ideal baby's-back-on-mother's-left-side position? I try to sleep on my left side as much as possible but it doesn't seem as though that alone has worked.
