early ultrasound?
I found out that I'm pregnant last week. I'm not sure when my last menstrual cycle was, but I know it was last month (sometime between Oct. 4th and Oct. 26th, I know that's very vague). Anyways, hospital staff said that since I didn't know the exact day of my last period that I would need to do an ultrasound to figure out how far along I am before I can register etc. I have an appointment on the Thursday, the 29th. Do you think an ultrasound this early is necessary/safe?
