Woohoo on going to London! I've done December in England and it was fun. (My first time having roasted chestnuts, for one thing.)
I'm impressed you could quit WoW. I'm currently on hiatus, though I suspect I'll return once Cataclysm arrives. I've been playing CoH since Going Rogue showed up and loving it. (CoH was my first love - WoW is just an affair I have from time to time. I can be polyamorous with my MMORPGs, can't I?)
Although I'm not BluRay all the way, I, too, have gotten a BluRay player and I love that I can access my PC's files from it. And Netflix has been fun that way too.
Still loving Doctor Who as well. (Been listening to the latest Big Finish audio today. Mmmmm, Sylv!)
Although I have a facebook, I just use it to keep in touch with family and some friends. Though I have a lot more "friends" than I actually bother reading. (Most of these unread friends are former schoolmates/former students/current neighbors. None of 'em are Doctor Who fans, so I don't see the point in reading 'em. Heh.)

Nice to see you on here, too! Yes, it has been a long time.
Yes, I am so looking forward to the London trip! This will be my first trip overseas. I've been wanting to go the the U.K. ever since I started watching Doctor Who way back in 1983. I thought it was about time I got off my sorry arse and go! This will be quite the adventure for me since I'm going on this one alone. But I'll have fun. Yep, gotta do the chestnuts roasting on an open fire. Hopefully there won't be a Sycorax invasion when I'm there!
Hehe, I've been off the WoW since early January! I guess I just got bored of that, too. I had done most of what the game had to offer. I did all the raiding and got plenty of achievements, but in the end, I just got burned out on it. Plus, I didn't want to go through another expansion again. I went through that with TBC and Lich King. I didn't want to upgrade all my gear again and go through all the grinding again!
Blu-ray is awesome. It's gotten me into watching movies again. And buying them, too! I used to buy DVDs every week, but I stopped doing that after a while. I was just buying all the Doctor Who releases. Since I got a Blu-ray player, I've been buying Blu-rays left and right! I won't upgrade my whole collection, but I will admit to double dipping on a few titles. I even bought the Doctor Who David Tennant Complete Specials on Blu-ray! It was nice watching The End of Time in HD!
I haven't listened to any recent Big Finnish stuff, but I do have quite a collection of the older releases. Always loved those! What did you think of season 5? I loved about half of it. I thought there were quite a few lackluster episodes, but since this is Doctor Who, that still means it is better than most shows on TV. I love Matt Smith and Karen Gillan!
Yeah, I'm the same way with FB now. I just read status updates of a few family and some friends, too! I hardly make any posts on FB now. Once in a while I'll make a comment, but I'm not on there making status updates on everything I do during the course of a day.
