Keeping his Promise

A while back, Trent Reznor said that he was done with record companies for good.  From that point on, anything that he released would be released the moment it was ready and over the internet.  Well, yesterday he released "Ghosts I-IV".  It is a 36-track instrumental album.  Almost 2 hours of new NIN music out of nowhere.  You can download 9 of the tracks completely free.  For $5, you can download all 36.  For $10, you get to download all 36 tracks, and you will get a 2-CD version in April.  For $75, you get the download, the 2-CD set, a DVD with the master tracks of all 36 tracks so that you can remix them all as much as you want, and a Blu-ray disc that plays the album in Blu-ray quality and surround.  For $300, you get all of the stuff mentioned, plus the record on Vinyl, and it will be signed and numbered by Trent Reznor, but there are only 2500 of these.  I am going with the $10 version, since i like having a hard copy.

In other news, my very first girlfriend (7th and 8th grade) got engaged yesterday.  She and Dan have been together for 4 years now, and i think they will do just fine.

I feel like i am very close to writing several songs.   I say that a lot and then nothing really comes of it, but i have a good feeling about it all this time around.

I also picked up two Nick Drake albums, recommended from Justin, and they are quite good.  Very mellow, obviously, but something that i can put on and just relax.

Ok, well back to work.  Now i am very anxious to get home so that i may get this new NIN album.
