It's been a while since I've had time to be on here. I do facebook but that is because I usually just have that one liner thing going on.
Work has been hell since April. Let's just say, i blew the overtime budget for the entire 116 people in our little slice of the organization.
We finally got rid of the coworker. He left for Regis University so he could study to be a counselor. We found him working at IKEA.
We hire an Angry Black Woman. She passed the interview with flying colors. The day she started work, the attitude started. The eye-rolling, the condecending words, and her wanting everyone to do her work. I mean really. Sweetie, don't mess with a Queen. He will get your contracting ass fired. Long story short, she pissed off a Director. I let the Director go after her with words I can't get out my ears. She played the black card. My boss played the hispanic card. I mean really, "Its so hard being black and working"... I'm sorry, but out West that shit doesn't fly like it does in the south. Really, (generally speaking) we don't give a shit about your color. We care that you do your job and that you produce documents. 100 is the score that we use to gauge productivity. The two months she was with us... 27 and 29. And it too her 10 hours to fill out 20 lines on her productivity spreadsheet. Really??? WTF
I got a promotion. Yes, I blew the overtime budget so they decided to promote me to salary. It seems this was cheaper. I received a 9% raise, but my bonus decreased to 5%. And I got shares in MadTV. It all equates to a 4% raise. I'm ok with it. It's a job.
The Pink Poodle is no longer my boss. I have a new one. She is hell on wheels. We will see what happens. I'm still out on that one. I don't trust her. I think she is self-serving.
Nick is fine. Nothing to report there. Went to Atlanta. Planing on a few other trips. Thinking about the UK sometime next year. Perhaps Chicago over New Years.
I'm knitting quite a bit. Its good for the soul. I knit with a great group of girls.They take care of me. I'm knitting with the boys for the first time since July today. It's been a while. Mainly because we have been busy with life and all that on Sunday Afternoons.
