Free and ready to breathe the Fresh Aire...

15 minute strength training

I have been a little slow getting up and ready for my run these last two days. That's why my time strength training has been going down. I get up at about 5:25 and have until about 6:55 to get home so my wife can go walking. If I dawdle while getting ready to run I have to spend less time strength training so I can get home on time.

After talking with the Chair and Graduate Faculty Adviser of the Political Science Department here at UCI, I have decided to withdraw from the Ph.D. program. Several factors went into the decision, but I have been on the path to this action since early January. I'll not take time to explain the entire process here (we're still packing for our move), but the decision was suggested to me on Monday and by Tuesday I had begun the process.

I am dealing with many emotions about this decision - which is a good thing. I have spent moments jumping in the air for joy and crying in the arms of my beautiful wife. I will probably continue to experience many emotions about this - mostly because I don't have the time to sit down and really experience them without distraction or interruption.

I came to UCI to get my Ph.D. so I could get a job teaching Political Science at the college level that would support my family.

I got my M.A. and have recently secured an excellent tenure-track job teaching Political Science that will support my family.

My work here is done.

Going To Another Place,
Brad
