Made With Government Funding?

It's wartime.

In London, Jane is working as a nurse and writes to Tarzan who is back in the jungle. Jane asks Tarzan to obtain some jungle medicine to cure "jungle fever" that some of her soldier patients picked up in Burma. In order to do so, Tarzan, Boy, and Cheetah must travel to the desert. Meanwhile, German secret agents Carl and Heinrich ("Henry") are in a desert village exerting undue influence over the local sheik. The German agents attempt to capture a wild stallion ("Horse") to present to the sheik, but are thwarted by Tarzan, who shoots agent Carl's pistol out of his hand... with a bow and arrow. Later, Tarzan, Boy, and Cheetah meet an American woman circus magician ("Connie") who is carrying a hidden secret message from the Allies to the Sheik's son, Prince Salim (educated at Yale), who hates the German agents, despite that fact that they are friendly to the Sheik.

Tarzan is arrested when he resists the Germans' second attempt to take "Horse" upon their arrival in the village.

So, to distract the entire village, Cheetah does a tightrope walk in the village square. To get Prince Salim's attention, Connie has the local Arab musicians play Yale University songs while she sings.

When things heat up and Tarzan has to bust out of the tower in which he's imprisoned, he sends Cheetah out to steal scores of turbans in order to "make rope."

Following the plot so far? I've left out the dinosaurs, giant man-eating spiders, and carnivorous plants...

Someone actually made this up!

Tarzan's Desert Adventure (1943). Have you seen it yet?
