HOLY. AAAAAAAAAAH. I need to watch this a million more times. WOW! How amazing are you?! I got completely choked up by how much of an unspoken voice you gave to Cara's emotions. I mean, it felt like longing. Like she wants to be Kahlan, or be with her, or maybe it doesn't matter, she just wants to be around her. And all the white flower footage and the red blood/red leather going on and that amazing time remapping and OH GOD Cara sitting across the fire from Kahlan watching her sleep. I love you for making their relationship more than just super sexy. Whee, the .avi's dl'd now, off to rewatch in greater detail!
YAY! You weren't disappointed! This fandom and these characters are so incredible that I almost feel like it's too sacred to vid, you know? And then with all the expectations... So, yeah, relieved.
I got completely choked up by how much of an unspoken voice you gave to Cara's emotions. I mean, it felt like longing. I love the way you say it. I need to get you to write my vid descriptions.
But yeah, Cara's emotions do have such a huge presence in their unspoken-ness in the show. That's a big part of why I love the character so much. Those little cracks where you can see how much is boiling under the surface... it's just so powerful.
I do think Cara has fallen into a really painful kind of love with Kahlan, as she starts to open herself up to human emotions again and starts to see life in a different way, and ... yeah, it's painful. Awesomely painful.

Ahaa, yeah sorry about heaping all that expectation on you, but man, we were all just so excited to see what you'd do with these two and you just killed it. I'm telling you, that first chorus section made my eyes sting. This song! It's haunting me, no lie.
I do think Cara has fallen into a really painful kind of love with Kahlan On the money there. My god, it's like this epic journey from loathing to grudging respect to almost adoration. But I love what you did here by contrasting the care-free moments of Cara's childhood with her time as a Mord'Sith and then tying Kahlan into her learning curve, trying to find emotion again. Hands on shoulders! Eep! And I love how it's almost like Cara's experiencing the realization that Kahlan is the one person she can't have, with all the scenes of Kahlan kissing Richard and Cara noticing and being all pained by her new feelings. Eeeee! Ok I'm going to shut up now.
But JSYK, I live for vids like this that turn me into an emotional mess for days. Brb pimping this everywhere.
You can totes blame obsessive24 for the song. I told her the type of song I needed, in the most general, lame terms, and she immediately fired back with this. First time I heard it I was like "OMG! This is gonna be great!" I could see practically the whole thing in my head right away.

Thank you so much! Personally, I've always had to present 'ship studies from such a one-sided POV that they kind of border on character studies. Which is frustrating at times in how it limits me, but I'm glad it seems to work in this case.
