Getting kinda used to not working every weekend, although it is likely to be very temporary.
Went to see Twilight on Friday, didn't make me want to read the books, and it was a poorly made film(very MTV) with some truly awful acting and dialogue. Not as bad as I suppose it COULD have been, but I am firmly not into it. Made the girl happy, so it was a small price to pay; it should be noted she was highly disappointed in the film as well. I'll stick with Buffy and Angel, thank you very much.
Earlier Friday I managed to get floor seats for Oasis on Stub Hub for a fraction of what Ticketbastard wanted for nosebleed seats. I still wish Congress would have done something back in those mid-'90s to curb their obvious monopoly. The Black Crowes is the week before, hoorah! Two great bands in the same seven day span! Plus the obligatory Oasis gig debauchery! Christmas did come early this year!
Saturday was lowkey, played some trivia, cleaned house and goofed around. Wine and fireplace, niicce!
Up early today, had a frustrating morning as one of my less than considerate(or oblivious) friends had saved all his usernames and passwords on our laptop and nearly ruined a major(and hot!) boot purchase for Steph. All ended well, but who the hell saves their information on someone else's personal computer?? Not to mention the party in question sometimes spends more time on our laptop than speaking to his hosts, I can only blame his strict religious upbringing for so much.
Made bloodys and micheladas during a big win by the Bears; although it wasn't a very exciting game to be honest, Matt Forte would be rookie of the year if it wasn't for that pesky QB down in Atlanta. Michael came over and we worked on building his iTunes library. Then one of my oldest friend's came by to catch up over a lovely large bottle of Unibroue 17, although we were in full music geek mode and I think he may have been a bit weirded out. Hope to see more of him, recently moved back here from Vancouver, writes stories for video games and (shock)he's engaged now. Good to see him indeed.
Now I'm just cleaning up the football, music, pizza mess and drinking another michelada. May watch a film, or just more football highlights and get some sleep. Short work week ahead, and Turkey Day at Mum's!
