Climbing the ladder at work
Well, sorry folks for the lack of updates. It's been a chaotic past 2 weeks I think. At work, my department has lost 2 full time people and will be losing 1 more next week. I am left as the only custodian, along with a temp worker so it's very hectic. I was really to walk out a few days ago but I didn't. I decided to write an email to my boss to explain the situation. Talk about fate.
Turns out, my boss forwarded that email to the Head Boss of our department. You know what she said? She said that I shouldn't be a custodian, that I should be doing something better at the company. My boss told me about some leadership training that the company will be doing with people who they feel are qualified. My boss tells me that I am a good candidate for this training.
So, per his recommendation, I forwarded a link to my website for the training and development people to look at: http://www.bradbarratt.com/coursework.htm
I got an email from the Head Boss yesterday and she said that she didn't know what I had interests in working with computers, coding and so forth. She said that it was "up to you" if I were to take that training or not and I said yes.
So, I can't wait and see what happens Monday. Just when I thought it was all crashing down at work, I get an omen. By god, if this training works out, I could be working in the Information Technology dept at work instead of the Custodial dept.
I'm so psyched. This is what I've been waiting for. I've waited YEARS to find a place that would recognize my computer skills and I think I'm almost there.

Oh, and I lost 10lbs more recently. I can feel my ribs and it feels funny.
