The Shearing!
I've had long hair for what seems like forever. It's a part of me, has been for a long while. It's going, all of it. It's not a choice I made lightly but a choice nonetheless. And because some people don't get that choice, because some people have to go through all the horrible consequences of cancer - of which losing your hair is just a minor one - I figured it should go in a good cause. The things Maggie's Centres do for those that don't have a choice in this or so many other things makes them a worthy beneficiary.
I could just get a haircut but if you lovely people are willing to stump up a bit of sponsorship it will all go, right down to the razor at the end, probably sometime towards the end of October (and filmed for your amusement if I can find a volunteer or two to help out with the shearing).

As an added incentive, anyone donating a tenner or more earns the right to 'help'. This may or may not include shaving random bits of my head in amusing ways and taking photos....
