While teaching myself thai...

So I'm moving back to the good IC.  More than a year after I first moved here, leaving Chicago seems so...impossible.  So much has happened since then.  Everything in this city, everyone in this city, has been SO good to me.  And as we laid under the stars tonight on the Belmont Pier, passing the bottle of Cristal around, it dawned on me...how incredibly lucky I am to have the life that I have and the people that I have in it.  I've never felt so close to a city before.

That being said, the more practical and logical thing to do is to take hold of the opportunity ahead of me and go for a ride.  Iowa's College of Law is ranked up there with the best of them and in keeping my in-state residential status active, it will save me more than $75,000 in total tuition costs while attaining a top-notch JD education.  I haven't closed all my options completely, but by moving back, I'll at least keep this highly attractive option open.

So part of me is excited, and an even bigger part of me is moved that I had the opportunity to touch the people that I have (and not just like that, thank you...) in the ways that I have in only one short year.  I'm excited to see how life back in Iowa City will take shape after having the professional and personal experiences I've had since I last lived there.  Now the questions that I'd like to find answers to quickly:  Where am I going to live and what the hell am I going to do when I get there?  Time will tell.  (Hopefully, not too much time...lol)  :)
