more fun with nationalities
UPDATE on what I was talking about last night:
Right, so tonight I went to watch a football game between Middlesborough and Bucarest or something with Ringo and Scott and Ramshill. I went to the bathroom, came back, and two guys were sitting with them (apparently they see them around but don't actually KNOW them). So these guys obviously hear me talking to Ringo and Scott, and oh hey, I sound different. Mr. IwannalooklikeJohnnyDepp goes "where are you from? Australia?" AND HE'S SERIOUS. They think we sound like Australians, which is funny, because we think that Australians sound British--which, to be fair, makes more sense, as THEY OWN THEM.
So anyways, after all my incidents last night, I was just like "yep, I'm Australian" and Ringo and Scott start cracking up, so I go "what, it's fun to be from somewhere new." So what do these guys say?
They go, "well, are you from South Africa then?"
...
I told them I was from Kenya.
Later, they asked if I pulled for Middlesborough, and Ringo goes "no, she likes Kenya's FC*"
That's why they're my favorites.
