A happy ending and a happy beginning
merde landed a good tech writing job a few weeks ago, which seems to be working out well. Shortly thereafter she signed the lease on an apartment in south Austin. Today she moved out of our place and into her own.
Six of our friends, in addition to the three of us, managed to complete the move in under two hours. With three cars, two pickups, and a van, we got everything loaded, made one trip, and unloaded it all in her apartment.
I'm sure Meredith will post about it all soon, but her new place won't have internet until sometime tomorrow.
Meanwhile, I'm back home with my feet up and the air conditioner blasting. :-)
