ive mentioned it before, but im working on writing several different shorts for submission to blur for the annual short story submission thing. ive written up alot of stuff, and i think when its all said and done ill be able to hand off like 20 things for consideration. some of them more developed pieces, and some are pretty much just overview of an idea. but today i finished what i think has the best chance of being selected. and the weirdest thing about it, is that it took me the shortest amount of time to flesh out the idea. i pretty much set down at a diner and thought out a character and outlined this story in about an hour. since then ive periodically worked on it and now its a 5 page short story that im proud of. its still in an early stage but i think it has a good appeal to it. hopefully blur will dig it cause that would be beyond a nerd dream come true. to actually have a company like this make a short that i wrote and would possibly get to direct would completely blow my mind. because that was part of the reason i got in this field to begin with. thats why i even do this. because i wanted to be a writer. i know im premature in my belief that i even have a chance, but whats the point of having a goal if you dont think you can achieve it. and so far i seem to be doing pretty good with knockin out my goals in life. anyways, i hope life is treating everyone well and much love to you all.

p.s. wish all my friends were out here for the bbq blur is throwing together tonight. should be fun. they got a couple kegs, and a new ping pong table. so it should be fun on a bun.
