Watching the Clock

May 11, 2009 18:15

My main accomplishment was to embed arbitrary binary data in an application and then be able write it back out. If / when the project is released, I can explain a little more. But for now, I only have one remaining hurdle.

Separate to measuring today's productivity, I had a wonderful wedding. I was late to arrive (for the photographs) thanks to Seattle traffic, but the corvette was fun to drive.

Back working again, and celebrated my birthday yesterday.

Now I just wait for my wife to call requesting I pick her up.

While I wait, I ponder buying a new laptop. Especially my conflicting requirements. I keep wavering on the netbook theme. I like the sub 3lbs and sub $500 points, but I don't like the tiny size (additional requirement 12+"). Finally, I legally have licenses for all software already (windows, office, AV), so I'm miffed at the difficulty of not paying for these items from the OEM.
