On Saturday, Vickie and I went south to the Tacoma Museum of Glass.
There we watched Lino Tagliapietra, an Italian maestro of glass blowing, at work:
Between the hours of (near) silent observation, we also toured the rest of the gallery and made shrink-i-dinks. Here is my Alaskan scene just before it shrank to credit card size.
Eventually the demonstrations were over, so we took a walk in the pleasant weather before driving back north.
On Sunday, it was my turn to go to a different church. So we walked hand in hand into the morning service at Crossroads. Played soccer in the sun. Made a fire. And watched Galaxy Quest.
This morning, I awoke like I do every Tuesday and Thursday before 5am so I could go to the mountaineering conditioning class. I still can't do push-ups, even with all of the other weight work. At least this morning was only ~20 flights of stairs.
