In reading an debate between Christians and atheists, the following was encountered: "What are you we arguing here? Eugenics? Garbage DNA? The purpose of the appendix? Stem Cell Research? ..." (emphasis mine)
I paused and wondered about why such a meta question as to why books have appendicies was raised, and then realized that I was thinking of the wrong appendix.
