What the Fuck, Kovalchuk! Actually, we know you know what's up, it's the the fucking New Jersey Devils; what the hell are you thinking???? It's not about the gross amout of money (that will be coming out of fan's pockets for almost DECADES to come), but the sheer length of time you've got this man signed to! 17 YEARS!!!! 17 FUCKIN YEARS IN NEW JERSEY!!!! Wow, that sound like a prison movie or something. It's just insane, Kovi will be 44 when his contract is up, and Lou the GM will be 83. But this will be exciting for fans for a while, but when you're getting a bunch of blue collered workers to shell out for this, you're looking at more empty seats in the years to come unless this brings a Lord Stanly's Coffee Mug to the Garden State and FAST!
In other news, Congrats to Yaz and the Tampa Bay Lightning for nabbing Simon Gagne! I think the Lightning will be a team of contention in the next few years. Atlanta bought a couple of good years off the Blackhawks; they'll be a pain in the ass for my Huricanes, so that may just leave the Florida Panthers as the only pad between Carolina and the basement.
I made some good Chicken last night. And the Beer should be about ready.
