Yesterday the station manager at RDZ asked me to come into her office. She (I'll call her Mouth) told me how impressed she's been with me this past month. She said that this past week really made it tough for her to make a decision. She said everyone else at the station only has great things to say about me, and that each of them want me to stick around. Then she made me a job offer. I shook her hand and thanked her, exiting her office with a small smile. "Did that just happen?" I thought. I knew it did when I saw three of my now coworkers standing at my desk, grinning ear to ear. (*singing* Radio Disney! We're all ears!" n/m) Each said "congrats," "so glad you're hear," and two even hugged me. How sweet! So...
I am now the Promotions Assistant at Radio Disney Chicago.
:-)
I did it! I graduated from college. Took some chances. Work really hard. And now I have a good paying job (ehem, career?) with the best known company worldwide that isn't going anywhere ever. I also now have full health benefits and obviously a very nice discount to anything and everything Disney. *sigh of relief* Wow. I'm satisfied with the position and am even more excited to grow with RDZ. There's been a lot of changes with the station nationally and I'm anticipating how I'll grow, move and change with it all. So exciting!
Thanks to all of you who kept me sane throughout the college years, the last semester and throughout all my job hunting. Thanks to those of you who told me it would all work out, who gave me advice and, most importantly, gave me confidence in myself.
