Thanksgiving
So the wife and I got back yesterday from Thanksgiving at her parents' in Chapel Hill. Overall, a very pleasant trip.
We decided to divide the driving legs into two pieces. We left Wednesday afternoon, stayed overnight in Santee, SC (home of the world's worst Pizza Hut), and arrived in CH on Thursday. We similarly took Saturday and Sunday to get back home.
Here is an update on things in CH: Peppers - still there and still delicious; Armadillo Grill - still there; Elmo's - still there; Banditos - Carborro location closed; Franklin St. Pizza and Pasta - still there; Top of the Hill- still there, still Top of the Hill (they're giving away their menus as souveniers); Franklin St. McDonalds - closed, torn down; Cosmic Cantina - still there, remodeled; Johnny T-Shirt (my old place of employment) - still there; Linda's (where Elise and I met) - still there; Ham's - still there; BW3's - closed; School Kids Records - closed
AND someone finally bought the Wicked Burrito and turned it into a noodle place
