UPDATE: John just called. We're meeting for lunch this Thursday at noon to discuss the role. The character's name is Trent Vogler. He's the "asshole boyfriend of the female lead." According to John, it's a somewhat small speaking part, but he has three of the best songs in the show. Kara just wrote to urge me to do it, and to let me know that she, Tom Prior and Doris Davis are already cast. Sounds like fun!!! But I'll refrain from saying anything concrete until after my meeting with John.
