Hooooooooolmes
So, ever since my introduction to BBC's Sherlock, my Sherlock Holmes obsession has kicked itself into high gear.
I've always been extremely daunted by the books. Sometimes my mind completely drifts while I read them because of the language used. I do have to admit, though, that people from the 1800s had extremely good memory! I mean, they could describe the happenings before a crime was committed, all conversations included word-for-word, without even stopping to think. I could never do that. ._.
But, I mean, I love reading and always have, so when I was a little girl, I thought that it was my duty to read the books. I never got more then a couple pages in because I was so confused. But my problem was that I was never really interested. My favorite genre to this day will always be fantasy, and I had no interest in Sherlock Holmes or mystery novels of any kind, really. But now I actually do, and this wonderful TV show reminded me that, hey, my grandma has those original books by ACD sitting in her attic, somewhere!
So I've been reading them. I'll end it there and not bore you with more nonsense.
