the best part of yesterday was finding a scent that just works so well. the weird thing was that it just shouldn't have.
al-shairan: The enemy of God, also named Iblis, He Who Despaired of the Mercy of God. Al-Shairan is the leader of the Jinn, a tempter who whispers false suggestions to men enticing them into evil and perfidious acts, and is the sworn enemy of all of Adam’s children. His scent is fiery, bright and thick with sweet sinfulness: clove, peach and orange with cinnamon, patchouli and dark incense notes.
first off, cinnamon and clove are two scents that will trigger a migraine in me. i don't like orange or peach really, patchouli is love, but incense notes haven't worked with anything in the past. just the word "fiery" usually sends me screaming because anything with smoke, tobacco, anything like that, goes horrible like a stale cigar when it hits my skin.
so i'm going through frimps that were sent with my last order and i opened the bottle, took a really gentle sniff and capped it again right away. nuh-UH my brain said. so i'm testing other stuff and i keep smelling this amazingly spicy, sexy aroma. i sniff around at all the spots on my body that i've put oil and nothing is matching. so i sniff my fingers.... i guess some of it got on me so i sniffed the bottle (lid on) and my brain recoiled -again-. i bit the bullet and put a little on.
oh the gods smiled on me, that's for sure. the silly thing is, i smell no patchouli on me and that's the only listed note that should work. i even had self professed spice hating people sniffing me and exclaiming at how good i smelled.
