Rough thoughts on a few things...

Quincey Morris - Mmmh. Okay, regardless of its other notes, QM is, as far as I can tell, basically 'rainsoaked leather'. It is, EXACTLY, the faintly sweet smell of clean, rain-wet leather. That's it. Like someone was wearing a leather duster and got caught in a sudden shower. In a bottle. It doesn't go sour like some leather blends do, it doesn't smell like anything -else-... it's just damp leather. And I love it.

Bloody Sword - Once the initial whumpf of dragonsblood fades, it turns into basically a db-pepper blend. It's very similar to Wrath, but less fruitlike...basically a 'hot, dry' peppery thing, with only the barest hint of sweetness.

High Priest Not to be Described - His scent is damn hard to describe, too. HOWEVER. While the initial damp stages are awfully tangled and complex, what you end up left with (or at least what I end up left with) is a skin-musk (like Smut) and vetiver. The throw is actually pretty nice; slightly powdery, though it's kind of 'guk' headache-inducing if you put your nose right up to it and snort. However, most people don't spend their day with their nose jammed against their arm, so there you go. In a way, it almost reminds me of Smut, if Smut had not been nauseatingly sweet and had a bit of 'fang and claw' to it.

Pumpkin Queen - Oh. Em. Gee. Talk about worth the wait. This is a rich, LOVELY autumnal scent. (My only gripe is that it's apparently kind of fugitive, and fades quickly. Maybe I just need to use more.) If you've ever smelled Yankee Candle's 'Autumn Wreath', this is very close; it's basically apple-pumpkin-spice (though it's spicy enough you don't smell like a pie.) My instinct is to snag another bottle, but I know deep down I'll never get through a whole bottle (I have too many other wonderful blends and I can't wear them all at once!) . Definitely a win.

Carfax Abbey - Hnr. Okay, my initial impressions are that this is just like Black Tower with a bit of pine in it. Especially once dry, it has the same 'salty sea-dried wood' smell, with the sweetness in it. Mind you, I LIKE Black Tower, and was going to buy a bottle of it... so now I don't have to.
