I found it fitting to do reviews of these two scents, since these are the two oils that started me on my BPAL addiction
Offerings of milk, honey and sweet grains were made to placate these creatures, and it is that the basis of the scent created in their name.
I bought this scent on name alone, and it was my first bottle ever bought. Truth be told, it smells like mead to me. The honey is a very prominent note, both on sniff and on the skin, but then it dries down to a very pleasant creamy scent. The grains are neither too powerful or underscored by the milk and honey. If I had to say what color the scent would be, I would say green and yellow-very spring and summer like. Whenever I wear this oil, I get many compliments.
The BPAL site describes Arachne as a gossamer scent with pallid flowers, light herbs, and dusty woods. I would have to agree, although I don't think of dusty woods. This scent is very bright and yes, the flowers and herbs are the prime notes. There's almost a note of something minty, which could attribute to the gossamer (light and cool). Yes, another scent I bought on description alone...and the fact that I like spiders. Although it says gender neutral, I think of this scent as female oriented. Oh, and the staying power on Arachne is pretty darn good. :)
