Reviews: Et Lux Fuit and Hungry Ghost Moon

edenssixthday keeps telling me that I should post my reviews here and I never remember too. I'm going to try to be better about that though since I generally try a new blend every day.

Et Lux Fuit - a big ol’ bottle of sunny, happy, bounciness -- a golden blend with a celebratory feel, promoting joy, peace, and a sense of comfort and well-being: golden amber, heliotrope, vanilla musk, carnation, daisy and sunflower bouquet, neroli, lemon peel, ylang ylang and honeycomb.

This is a morpher. In the bottle the amber, sunflower, and honeycomb really stand out. Once I put it on though, it's all honey. So beautiful! I do love me some honey. I've had it on for about two hours now and it's gone to a very soft amber with just a touch of the neroli peeping out to keep it from going powdery. It's very light and seems to have faded quite a bit. It has a moderate throw still though which is impressive since it's so light. It really is a very pretty, delicate scent. I'm not sure though that I'll need two bottles of it. I might sell or swap my other one that is coming with my Harvest Moon order.

Hungry Ghost Moon - Offerings of ginger candy, sugar cane, smoky vanilla and rice wine mingle with a ghost’s perfume of white sandalwood, ho wood, ti, white grapefruit, crystalline musk and aloe. This scent is tapered by the presence of seven herbs, woods and resins used in the purification of the spirit and the purging of earthly concerns from the soul.

As I said yesterday, in the bottle this is white grapefruit followed by the ginger candy and then the vanilla. In the background I can pick up the aloe and the white sandalwood. I really expected this to be more of a "foody" scent but instead it's very fresh and crisp and clean. But on my skin? It's absolutely dreamy! It's soft but with a nice throw, and I've had it on for an hour now and it hasn't faded at all. I'd swear this has honey it somewhere but maybe it's just the smoky vanilla. It's all sweetness and creamy with just barely an edge of spice. I can't even begin to describe how beautiful this is. It's the sent of daydreams and wishes, which I guess goes along with purging earthly concerns from the soul. I wish I'd gotten two bottles because I can see this being one that I reach for often.
