AotM winners to come; but first, some b-day concepts
I was thinking of doing a July BPAL meet & sniff in honor of my (wait for it) 35th birthday... in case anybody here doesn't know, I live in Elmhurst, Queens, which is just a couple blocks from the Queens Center Mall.
In fact, I was thinking about leveraging those resources for the party -- possibly we could meet up at the LUSH in the mall; do whatever a birthday-ish group of people is supposed to do there; then pick up a Coldstone Creamery cake on the way back to my apartment, for general sniffing and swapping and cake eating and stuff.
How does that sound? Since the mall is at the intersection of the BQE and the LIE, it's very easy to drive to this area; and if you are taking the subway, the E,F,R or 7 trains will all get you to Roosevelt Avenue - Jackson Heights, where you can transfer to the R train to my neighborhood.
What dates would work best? Obviously the weekend of the 4th is out; and I have conflicts for the weekends of the 8th and 15th, too.
So, the best days would be:
- Saturday the 22nd
- Sunday the 23rd
- Saturday the 29th, or
- Sunday the 30th.

I should mention that those who don't deal with dairy products, large albino constrictors, or Vodou altars, are cordially invited to celebrate with me somewhere else, another time.
