You know you're hooked on teh BPAL when...
...you have BPAL related dreams pretty much every other night, for a week. Here are some of my mad nocturnal imaginings that have come up
First, I dreamt that Beth was so sick and tired of all the moving and the wank and so on that she suddenly completely closed down BPAL, and vowed to stop making BPAL oils 'until some much later date in a few years time when she was completely over the drama'! In my dream, Gemma at the forum (kellerbl on LJ) mentioned it on LJ and I was shocked, so I went to the forum, only to find that it had closed down and all posts were locked, I couldn't log in, and worst of all...all her new (and as yet unreleased) stuff for the Hungry Ghost update-including Hungry Ghost Moon and a few other scents, as well as all the GC scents, were being auctioned on Ebay-every one had bids going over $100! I also remember frantically emailing the Lab in my dream about what would happen with all the orders I made, and I was especially worried about my Litha/Salon/Lotus Moon one...
Next, I dreamt that at one point, during the Lab's move, they didn't have any building to do the oil making and blending so they had to do it outside. Somehow, I was in the LA area at the time and I saw Beth and the Labbies there, out in some kind of leafy green area, under these stalls, and the stalls were covered with jars and bottles of oils and plants, leaves, flowers, roots, twigs, seeds etc-it all looked very natural and almost esoteric, like the plants were to be part of potions and mysterious concoctions and remedies. The Lab now looked like kind of market, but nothing was for sale-all the plants etc would be turned into oils for the BPALs. Beth showed me the stuff she would put in the Salon oils (all the components in their raw form were placed in little ziploc bags (I saw one containing a blob of honey with comb, which would be used to give the honey note, and so on) and those bags were placed next to to a 'recipe sheet' for each Salon blend, and Beth let me read bits of her 'scent journal' where she writes her own impressions of the scents, or the impressions she hopes to give. Then on another stall, I saw Forest helping Beth by cutting up some green leaves, some scented herbs, I think for Beth to make into oil, and the process reminded me of cooking food, like cutting herbs for putting in food...and then I woke up!
And last night...I dreamt that the Carnaval Diabolique did indeed appear today as part of a 06/06/06 update-but that it was an LE series with a twist. Only 6 oils would be pretty much always available until the cut off date, but only two of them were $15, the others were $20 and $30. There were also some very limited scents-one with only 100 bottles made of it, one with only 50 bottles, one with only 10 bottles which would be distributed by a raffle like system, and two bottles of two uber-limited scents which were both $100 and came in 30ml bottles, also given out according to a lottery or raffle system, and another 30ml scent which went on Ebay where the winner would get three rare SNs as well. And then, there was the 'obligatory prank scent', which was a single note of...lobster. (well, didn't Demeter do that as well?) There were also some GCs, including one called Thoth in Excolo, and a few Ars Draconis oils-one was called 'Dragon's Child' and for some reason, smelt of dragon's blood, patchouli and nag champa, a real hippy dragon scent. And then I woke up...
Anyone else have any crazy BPAL dreams? And do you ever have dreams about imaginary, non existent BPAL blends, like I do?
