In Bottle: Sweet floral
On Skin: Well, that’s jasmine. Yes very strong jasmine which for some odd reason I usually tend to like so that’s a good thing. Also ylang-ylang… the two seem to go hand in hand. It’s a strong sweet floral and that’s all I smell… no other notes. But it’s too strong, my husband was a bit put off by this one, he didn’t think it was sexy and even thought it smelled a bit artifical and cloying. But it dries down to a much more gentle and welcoming scent. At that point he didn’t mind it… so let it settle on your skin for about an hour before “trying it out”. Overall, not really a scent I’d wear often but nice to try out. Strong throw and long wearing length.

In Bottle: Light spicy floral
On Skin: ooh! This is nice, very elegant yet dark and sinister. Oh my, I LOVE this!!! It smells like something an evil Queen would wear from a Disney film… oh yeah! I get a very deep purple/blue feel from it with a beautiful golden crown. It is pretty tart and if I breathe in too deepely it does make my eyes water a bit so I think I have to apply this lightly. It’s very powdery which normally I don’t like, but it really works with this scent. After the dry down, it mellows out and actually fades quickly so I may actually have to apply more than I just said I should. There is a clean ozone soapy note in the background which adds to the elegant feel. The spice is so soft, just hiding in the background giving it a nice fuzzy feel more like velvet than fur. This is very perfumey and VERY feminine, this screams woman. I do get a honey note in here… JOY! Yes, I’m adding this to the bottle list, I must have it.

In Bottle: Woody incense
On Skin: I have decided Celestials do not work on me. I have yet to find one I’d actually wear… They all seem to be to earthy and dark on me, or too bright and citrus… nothing creamy and sweet. Oh well. Anyway, this one screams patchouli, my least favorite note and also civet. It has a very dirty, earthy spicy scent. Also very woody… it reminds me of my neighbors sauna… that hot wet wood smell. Very resinous as well with a strong throw. This one is just to much for me. It’s off to the swaps.
BEND OVER: TAL One of the most notorious Voodoo oils. An astonishingly powerful commanding and compelling blend.

On Skin: This is a very dark and earthy blend. I smell wood, sweet and deep… not pine… maybe cedar? I also smell incense maybe patchouli since I get that dirt note from it. I also catch a bit of leather… and smoke. This scent feels very masculine to me. I love the name, and it actually pretty sexy and I get a S&M feel from this… dark, leather, control. It actually would be interesting to wear to a club. I haven’t tried annointing a candle with this yet, since I don’t have anyone I really want to command… but it may be sexy to try out with my husband. I’d say this is a must for the dominatrix types… As it dries down, the wood sweetens up even more and I catch a bit of an elegant floral but it’s very light, but enough to give the scent another level. I actually like this scent and wouldn’t mind smelling it on my husband (I know, these aren’t meant for wearing…). Anyway, I am going to try annointing a candle with this one of these nights…
