Beltane '05 vs. Beltane '06
So last night I got my Bunny and Panties order of much happiness. I threw in a bottle of Beltane '06 because I wanted to like it. Beltane '05 and I have a shaky relationship. I have two bottles, mind you, but it's still shaky.
Today I decided to have a smackdown between the two scents. One on each wrist and a walk with the dog. Who will come out on top?
Beltane '05 - herby and wheaty in the bottle. On my wrist it smells a little like it's rotting. I think it's got jasmine in it. Hmm. Jasmine can be evil. I suspect it's trying to knock me out. [narrows eyes] We shall see how it feels after the walk.
Beltane '06 - astringent and sharp in the bottle. Kind of herby, but not like '05. On my wrist it's soft, green florals. It's got a hint of herbs and wheat, but mostly it's a really gentle, calming floral scent. Without the rotting. Hmm...
After the walk...
'05 is still jasmine and rotting on my skin. This is why '05 is strictly a scent locket/hair scent for me. I remember now.
'06 is gorgeous. It's softly floral with none of the astringenty scents that came out of the bottle. There's still some herbs and green behind it, but mostly it's a gentle, unassuming floral.
The winner:
Beltane '06! But I still like '05 on my hair because of the herbs and wheat scent it has.
