Review: Block Buster

Only one review, so I won't cut it.

When I first applied Block Buster, it was a wild cacophony of notes on my skin that smelled like a strange combination of Blood Moon and Wolfsbane to my poor nose. After about an hour, I happened to push my hair out of my eyes and I caught the unmistakable scent of dirt. Not dry dirt, but rich, moist earth. It was Dirt without all the dirtiness, if you understand me. Imagine my surprise when, as I was straightening up my bedroom, I picked up the tissue I had used to swab away the excess scent from my fingertips earlier that day and smelled rose. Rose usually propagates madly on my skin, yet when I sniffed my wrist again, all I could smell was the wet earth and something sweet mixed in. Not floral sweet, but resin sweet, like dragon's blood or amber.

A very complex scent.

What's odd is I thought I had ordered Bastet's Laughter, so when I opened the box from TAL, I thought they'd made a mistake. I checked my order and discovered to my disappointment that the mistake was mine, not theirs. But it turns out to have been a happy mistake. Block Buster is something I'm glad I ordered. That makes two rose scents from TAL that I've been happy with. That's a good thing.
