Some reviews of the recent BPAL I've tried
Enjoy!
Al-Araaf
Al-Araaf is love. LOVE. It's a beautifully soft oil, but it lasts on me and it has decent throw. It's comforting. I just want to bury my nose in my wrist and breathe deeply until the world stops bugging me. It's a cuddly scent. A scent made to curl up with. I adore Al-Araaf and I'm actively seeking out more AND MORE.
The Hesperides
OH GOD. This doesn't smell nice. At all. It kind of smells like...urine and cleaning fluid. Urg. On my skin, nothing really changes. Still urine and cleaning fluid. Softer, but not prettier. I actually had to wash this one off because it made me kind of ill.
Tiger Lily
I bought this one in the hopes that it would be a GC equivilant of Al-Araaf. In the imp? Not really a good match. Tiger Lily is a 'colder' smelling oil. It's pretty, but not OMG pretty like Al-Araaf. However, on the drydown this morphs into Al-Araaf's drydown!! It's not an exact match, but it's close enough to make me happy!
Snake Charmer
Amber and I have a love/hate relationship. I love and will inevitably covet amber scents. Amber will then break my heart by turning into baby power. STRONG baby powder. It's done this with O and I feared it would do it with Snake Charmer. Not so! For once, the Amber Gods were smiling. Snake Charmer takes on a sexy, sultry vibe. Sweet, but with sinister intentions. I love it. It's an incredibly evocative oil and I feel slinky just wearing it. *covets*.
