[Multi Reviews]-Sleepy Moon, Enraged Orangutang, Jupiter
I just got these three in yesterday, so here goes my reviews. :)
I loved the bamboo pulp in Holiday Moon, so I was pretty certain I would love Sleepy Moon. I wasn't let down. The ylang ylang adds a golden, almost honey note to the green of the bamboo and the crispness of the lavender. The sandalwood and chamomile are hard to smell at first until the oil is applied, then they come out.
This is a wonderful scent, perfect for calming the nerves (and great for a chronic insomniac like me!)
I'll admit, I was worried that this would not work on my skin because Smut hated me. Musk notes either work or they don't with me (stupid body chemistry!) The first sniff out of the bottle, well it is hard to tell because I was hit with the dark musk. And there, blossoming from the depths is orange. Mmm. So, I dabbed some on to my wrists today. The boyfriend's response, "pretty decent". It has a strong throw, so caution should be not to overdab. It also lasts several hours. Monkey Madness!
When they meant "majesty" they were obviously referring to the majestic Redwoods. That's exactly the smell I get from Jupiter. I grew up in Northern California, and this smells just like walking through the Redwood forests, with the fresh boughs under my shoes. I instantly became nostalgic.
Yes, this is very woodsy, and it does smell more masculine at first until application. Then it warms into a lovely wood and green scent.
