HECATE
Magnificent three-faced Goddess of Magic, the Dark Moon and the Crossroads. She is the Mother of Witches, and the midnight baying of hounds is her paean. Her compassion is evidenced in her role as Psychopomp for Persephone, and her wrath manifests as Medea's revenge. Deep, buttery almond layered over myrrh and dark musk.
Vial: Vanilla.
Wet: Vanilla and real strong almonds.
Drydown: Something sharp, like perhaps patchouli, coming up now. Vicious-edged.
Dry: Looking at the description, I see it was myrrh, not patchouli I was smelling. After a few hours, it becomes dry and powdery and vaguely sweet, like stale gingerbread. Definitely not a Hecate smell. To the swap pile!
The quote above the cut was from Annie Hall. Just seemed appropriate somehow.
