My friend goddess_of_art and I were invited to vend at this under our persona A Wicked Pack. From what I have read on the website, and the info sent to me by the producer, this is shaping up to be a lush, decandent event....and one that I bet would be a wonderful place to plan a BPAL meet up, either at the con itself, or in one of the hotel rooms after hours. Mark your calanders, ladies, if you live in the area. It's also a two day event instead of one - hmmmm, wonder if we could persuade Beth to come? :)

Ever dream your life was more Age of Innocence and less Age of
Starbucks?

Ever wonder what it would be like to live like a dilettante for a
weekend where all you had to worry about was what to wear to the
masked ball, how good the recitals are, and is your intellect up to par
for the latest salon?

We are giving you a space to come as you are -- beautiful and charming
and graceful. We are giving you an opportunity to experience the ideals
of the Victorian era with all the grandeur of the modern age. Salons
where you can discuss modern politics, the arts, and pop culture.
Workshops on topics ranging from modern dandyism to Japanese tea
ceremony. Bands coming from backgrounds ranging from gothic to
punk to trip hop.

Not to mention all the fun you expect at a convention - a Jack the
Ripper LARP, oodles of vendors for you to buy anything your little
decedent heart desires, a gorgeous hotel, and lots of stunning,
interesting people like yourself to cavort with.

Salon Con September 29th - September 30 2006. Don’t miss it, darlings,
or your bitchy friends will never let you live it down.
