Okay, so I'm behind the times... I had to get batteries for my camera! Now that I have those, I took several shots of my stash to share. I was enabled on June 21st, 2006 by
bethie_nova; I know because I made an LJ post about it. *lol* I'd actually been looking at the site off and on for three years prior, and I cry now to think of all the neat stuff I could have by now! (I have a very old wishlist in which I tried to decide on an imp pack; the discontinued ones on it make me cry.)
First, we have the stash identified. Please ignore the overly busy ottoman I used to hold it all. :)
1.) This is my primary BPAL box. It's a lovely carved wooden one I found at Target. I love boxes, and I'm kind of surprised I don't have my BPAL in lots more of them. The imps have a foam insert they live in, and there's a piece of sticky-backed foam tucked in the top of the box, waiting for me to get around to putting holes in it so I can use it to cover the fugliness of the foam.
A close-up of the box.
2.) These are the overflow bottles, the ones that won't fit in the primary box and I definitely want to keep. All my BPAL lives around my computer desk - these bottles live in one cubby.
3.) These are the imps I've tried and like and can't fit in my primary box. It's definitely time for a new imp box!
4.) These are imps I haven't tried. The little container may not be pretty, but it keeps them all upright. When I try each one, I lay it on its side for a little while, to be sure it isn't leaking.
5.) These are the bottles I'm waffling about. I've tried them once or twice, but I'm not really sure I like them enough to keep. I'm uncertain on them, really.
6.) This is the swap pile. It's pretty small right now, since I just did five swaps!
A close-up of the imp cases.
7.) This is my favorite imp case. I got it in a swap at a meet'n'sniff in NoVA. It was made by "Stacia" but I'm not sure if that's her real name, forum name, or both!
8.) This is a very nice, utilitarian little imp case for carrying when I'm afraid to damage the case or imps. It was a birthday gift (along with a great knitted hat thing) from my enabler,
bethie_nova.
9.) This is another imp case form the meet'n'sniff, also made by Stacia. It's a really interesting design, which will show better when I get to an open stash pic.
In fact, like so. The stash opened. The first two imp cases also hold untested imps; my "Glad-ware" container ran out of space.
Here is a closer look inside the primary box. Note my obsessive problem with rolling my labels. I have no problem with getting imps with rolled labels, but I just can't keep them that way. Note also the ugly foam, partially disguised with sticky felt. There is even a coding system to the colors of the dots, although I'd really prefer to just get white dots; so far, I haven't found any plain white ones.
Here are two boxes which are works in progress. The plain blue one should eventually look like the celestial one behind it. The first celestial one got appropriated for another purpose...
As so. (I'm a rock hoarder too.)
Finally, we have my "sleep stash," which lives on my nightstand. The cup usually holds water. The tea light is Yankee Vanilla Cream, but I never even smell it when I burn it. And yes, that's a romance novel. Bite me. There's enough depressing crap and bad endings and hard work in the world; I'd like to read something that's guaranteed to be bright and happy at the end, kthx.
Lastly, a close-up of the sleep stash. Oneiroi should be in there too, but it isn't for some reason. I luuuuurve! my Sleepy Moon.
Yay! Now I feel less like a crazy stash-hoarder...and more like a sheep. Baa. ^.^
