Floo Call to the Burrow
Due to the sudden nature of the Longbottom - Bones Wedding, Shane asks permission to call home and ask if he can stay for the festivities and floo to the Burrow the next day.
Headmistress McGonagall allowed Shane's request and brought him to her office.
Shane threw in the powder and leaned his head into the flames calling out "The Burrow". His head swam and finally returned to a less dizzying state as the homey living room of his grandparents came into view. His eyes immediately found his parents, sitting together on one of the sofas, arms around each other and chatting with his uncle Ron and his aunt Luna.
"Dad? Mum?" he called out grabbing their attention. "Hullo?"
Natasha Weasley smiled and jumped up to hurry over to her son's image in the fire. "Shane? Is everything alright?"
Shane smiled innocently. "Everything is fine. I just wanted to ask you if I could stay another day."
"Why? Are you certain everything is alright?" Natasha asked with concern.
"Mum, everything is fine. Hayden's mum and dad are getting married tomorrow night and I had hoped I could stay for the festivities. And then I can just floo to the Burrow on Sunday from the Lupin's house. Would that be alright with all of you?" Shane asked hopefully.
Natasha looked back towards Shane's dad. "What do you think Charlie?"
Charlie Weasley walked over and joined his wife. "I don't see any problem with it. I'll have to remind Mum there will be one less grandchild at the station, but otherwise, enjoy yourself son."
"Great! Thanks Dad. Thanks Mum. I'll see you all Sunday then." Shane smiled as he was about to leave.
"Wait a minute Shane!" Called out his uncle Ron. "Did you say Neville is getting married? To Susan? When? Where?" He asked.
Shane grinned at his uncle. "Yeah. It's all real sudden. I guess they didn't want to wait. He proposed like a couple of weeks ago. They are getting married here at Hogwarts, tomorrow evening at sunset. You should come. I'm sure they would love to have you there."
"Yeah. That would be great. We'll make it a surprise." Ron said with a wink. "See you tomorrow kid." He turned to his wife, Luna. "We need to go get them something Luna. Want to go to Diagon Alley and do some shopping?"
Shane grinned. "See and now I have a family member chaperoning me."
"Bye Mum. Bye Dad. See you." Shane called out as he left.
"Goodbye son. We love you." Natasha called back.
