now i am just north of dayton at the holiday inn express. i'm not sure what's express about it. it has a pool.
i drove 12 hours today. exactly on schedule, and that's even though i stopped a lot, which is unlike me. leaving was difficult this morning.
thank god for my fucking ipod. and i say that not having listened to any music. i just listened to podcasts; it's like running my own npr affiliate.
tomorrow will be a southwardly drive towards tulsa. after tulsa, albuquerque, which is supposed to be a fun place (?). from there, tempe (phoenix). the final leg is the shortest and, if it is conceivable, i will stop by the grand canyon for like a few minutes. david and i are already planning on going there when he visits. the grand canyon.
