On a lighter note…

I resisted Facebook for many years because I disliked their privacy practices, but recently I came to the realization that I’m already a member of multiple social networks, all of which have commited fouls with personal information at one time or another, and drawing a line in the sand on this particular apparatus was just silly. You’re either all the way in or all the way out when it comes to networking, and given that I was an early adopter of everything from LiveJournal to LinkedIn, claiming I was some kind of ideological puritan for not going the Facebook route really began to ring hollow.

The more honest reason is that this is the best way to keep track of my group of friends who don’t use LJ, and once I move to L.A., the best way to stay in touch with them. In this case, I let sentimentality beat ethos for once, so revel in it while you can.

Oh, and add me if you’re on Facebook as well.
