An end for Clinton, a beginning for Obama, and a moment for all of us

We’re coming up on the end of the primary season that seemed to be infinite, with only two contests left, and nothing to really take away from the fact that, barring an act of serious force majeure, Barack Obama will be the Democratic nominee for President. Rather than blog about the mechanics of the end of the horserace (as I promised I would eschew such, and you can always read Jim Smith’s summation of how it went down), I have some thoughts about the larger ideals, issues, and conflicts this battle brought forth.
