Power Moves
I've been in stealth mode the whole of this week because it's been nightmarishly hectic and busy. I've been inundated with projects left, right, and center.
I was hating life for the last few days, but today I got called to a special meeting with the big boss of my agency--me, specifically, and my boss--to go over his plans for creating more multimedia features for our Web site. Not bad for being here for three months.
There I was in my T-shirt, ponytail, and earrings trading suggestions and ideas with all of these big players like it was no thang. Awesome, and well worth the headache it took to get me there.
I definitely need to upgrade my wardrobe once again, but one thing I don't need to do is doubt my ability to hang with the movers and shakers in any given situation. You don't get in where you fit in, you make yourself fit wherever you want, and you shape the situation to accomodate you. :)
Who knows? I may have some talent for this whole project management thing after all.
Still, I'm glad this week is over. Thankfully I've fsfitz's birthday shenanigans to look forward to. :)
And my badge for the doors still doesn't work. That'll keep me humble for sure. :)
