Keep the Obamamentum rolling through Beltway Tuesday

Feb 11, 2008 14:49

The Potomac Primary is upon us, and although Obama is in the lead with more delegates, the media narrative is already shifting to how much clout Clinton has with the superdelegate insiders. As m3rkvry astutely notes, this is part of a larger push to maintain the horse race aspect of the primaries and keep the generally retarded, ADHD-addled, and accuracy-challenged campaign press corps interested.

The best way to put an end to this nonsense is to deliver a series of blowout victories for Obama in every state he's campaigning for. No victory is inevitable, and every vote counts. So far this election has gone counter to the conventional wisdom at every turn, and that's due to the efforts of people like you. Keep making that happen, and keep turning out in record numbers for Barack Obama, so that there's no mistaking who we want to be our next President.

Obama's campaign is running "Get Out The Vote" volunteer drives in Virginia, DC, and Maryland. Sign up and find out what you can do to help out.

If you live in D.C., the D.C. Board of Elections & Ethics has online tools to help you find your polling place and check your voter registration status, as well as voter information.

Maryland's State Board of Elections Web site is here, and here's Virginia's SBE site.

If you can't vote in these primaries, or are an independent, or can't make it to a GOTV effort, you can do the next best thing and donate some cash to the campaign. Every little bit counts, so get out there and make it happen.
