Obligatory JLS Comment
The first thing I thought when the newscasters breathlessly announced this morning that "JLS is pregnant!" was that they were referring to Jamie-Lynn Sigler, formerly known as Meadow Soprano. While that would have derailed my plans to make her my next ex-wife somewhat, I was baffled as to why this was news at all.
Once I found out who they were talking about, it occurred to me that if JLS' kid is a girl, JLS herself will only be 33 by the time the daughter is 17. If that doesn't have the making of a bodice-rippingly ripe gothic-meets-redneck-cracker-melodrama with the mom and daughter competing for the same guy (and Britney as the crazy spinster aunt), I don't know what does.
Oh, and if you had any doubt that Mike Judge's "Idiocracy" was prophecy rather than comedy, put them aside. The dumb people will breed us all into oblivion.
UPDATE: Yeah, I'd say not publishing this book is a fairly smart move.
