The LJ Thought Purge Continues
The wise 2eclipse pointed me to evidence that LJ is blocking certain search terms from its interests list.
This seems to predate the Russian invasion and is apparently a relic of its last heavy-handed attempt to protect the children courtesy of Six Apart.
What's sad is that this is an utterly ineffectual tactic...just look at the strings of objectionable or questionable material you can search for even with this block in place.
Censorship never actually protects anyone. It just makes it harder for people to access necessary information, which kills us all by degrees in the end.
