Adventures in Eastern European Cuisine - Meat 1.

So, finally, a meat dish! I hear your sigh of relief, but do not be fooled ! This iS a meat dish, but with noodles as a side dish MUAHHAHA =)

Nay, really. It's one of the easiest and yummiest food that a poor dead chicken can be transformed into.

Chicken paprika /Paprika chicken/ Chicken Paprikasch or anything you wish to call it

Ideally, one would use a whole chicken cut into pieces, but now I had chicken breast and drumsticks. You need onions, garlic, one tomato (or preserve) , one bell pepper or white paprika, ground black pepper, dried ground paprika, salt.

Chop onions, tomato and bell pepper. Heat oil or lard in a pan, sauté onions until transparent. Add tomato and bell pepper, seasonings and a little water to avoid burning the paprika. Add chicken pieces, cover and let it simmer until the meat is  tender.

Serve with noodles and sour cream. Ideally, I would also serve cucumber salad with it.
